This Main Roads WA Accreditation Course provides participants with the theory and practical skills required to review TMPs prepared by a person holding an AWTM accreditation. Monitoring the effectiveness of, and on-site adjustments or modifications to the Traffic Management Plan / Traffic Guidance Scheme outside tolerance in accordance with its scope and objectives.

During this course, you will learn to:

Implement Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes on site

Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices

Monitor traffic flow and adjust to changing site conditions

Identify hazards and apply appropriate control measures

Work in accordance with Main Roads WA requirements and relevant standards
Pre-requisites
-Main Roads Certificate of accreditation in BWTM and
-Statement of Attainments or USI transcript for BWTM
If you do not have these, you must contact your training provider for copies.
If your last training course was with Perth Traffic Training, you are not required to provide these as we have them on file.
Tickets are not accepted.
This is what you need to have:
-Document evidence of at 1 year’s experience in traffic management, road asset management, road safety, road design, road construction or road maintenance.
Documentary evidence must include the following as a minimum-
-CV or similar providing details of practical experience e.g. employer, job role, type of work undertaken, dates, etc.
AND
-A completed SWMS or JSA used on a worksite that you have signed on to.
AND
-List a minimum of three worksites where you have undertaken traffic management duties in the previous 12 months (e.g. setting up signs/devices, controlling traffic, pedestrian management, etc.)
-Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. Go to http://www.usi.gov.au to find it if you don’t have it.
-Construction Induction White Card/ Safety Awareness Training Blue Card or equivalent.
