Advanced Worksite Traffic Management Refresher

Class Time: 6:30am - 3:00pm

Location: 2232b Albany Highway, Gosnells

The Advanced Worksite Traffic Management (AWTM) Refresher course is a Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) accredited program designed for currently accredited AWTM practitioners who are required to maintain and renew their accreditation.

Units covered:

  • RIIRIS402E Carry out the risk assessment process 

  • RIICWD503E - Prepare traffic management plans and traffic guidance schemes

This is what you need to provide:

-Statement of Attainment or USI extract for

RIIWHS302E Implement a traffic management plan accreditation

RIICOM201E Communicate in the workplace

-Main Roads Certificate of Accreditation for Basic Worksite Traffic Management. Tickets are not accepted. If you do not have these, you must contact your training provider for copies.

IF YOU TRAINED WITH US LAST TIME YOU DO NOT NEED TO PROVIDE THE ABOVE DOCUMENTS

-A Construction Induction White Card/Safety Awareness Training Blue Card or equivalent.

-A USI number. Please include this in your registration. Don’t have a USI number or don’t know what it is? Try this – go to www.usi.gov.au to find yours or create one. Not sure? Call USI on 1300 857 536. They are very helpful.

-Photo ID for proof of identity such as driver’s licence, passport or other.

Note - a driver’s licence is not required for the Advanced Worksite Traffic Management accreditation

Bring with you a:

-Copy of Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management PART 3 (Static Worksites)

-Copy of Main Roads WA Traffic Management for works on roads Code of Practice (most recent)

You must submit the following for assessment

A copy of a detailed TMP you have designed which includes-

Multiple TGSs (min. 3)

At least one speed reduction

Aftercare treatment

A copy of an onsite inspection of a roadwork or event traffic management site you have completed. The audit must include –

List of findings, justifications and recommendations referring to legislation

Documented risk assessment.

OR

Where your primary role is reviewing, recommending and/or authorising Traffic Management Plans, provide:

At least 2 Traffic Management Plans you have reviewed or approved with your review comments.

The plan must include -

Multiple TGSs (Min 3)

At least one speed reduction

Aftercare treatment

IF YOU CAN’T PROVIDE THESE, YOU WON’T BE RE-ACCREDITED AND WILL HAVE TO RESIT THE FULL COURSE
