Construction Induction White Card
To legally work on a construction site in Western Australia, all workers must complete general construction induction training, also known as White Card training. Worksite Traffic Management

What can I provide for proof of identity?Applicants can prove their identity with any ONE of the following current full POI documents: Photographic driver’s licence issued within Australia or from a country approved by the department of Transport Australian passport Document of identity issued by the Passport Office Photographic identity card issued by Main Roads, Australian Defence Force, Australian Federal, State or Territory Police Service WA photographic (security) licence issued by or cleared with the WA Police Service

What is a Construction White Card?The Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 2022 (WHS General Regulations) set out mandatory requirements for the provision of construction safety induction training, for a person conducting a business or undertaking ensuring that general construction induction training is provided to workers doing construction work at a workplace in Western Australia In accordance with this regulation participants undertaking accredited Traffic Management Training are required to have completed the Construction Safety Induction Training and subsequently hold a White Card. What are the pre-requisites to sit the Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Traffic Control Course?Students are required to have the following three things: 1 . Driver’s licence – a person must hold or have held in the past (documentary evidence required.) Even a suspended licence is acceptable. - minimum of probationary. Learners is not accepted. 2. U.S.I number – Unique Student Identifier number. This can be created or found at www.usi.gov.au 3. Construction Induction Training (White) Card – we also offer this course in conjunction with our traffic management courses.

When do I qualify to sit the Worksite Traffic Management (WTM) course?After you have completed One (1) years’ experience in traffic management (holding the Main Roads WA Certificate of Accreditation in Basic Worksite Traffic Management), road asset management, road safety or two (2) years practical experience in road construction or maintenance.

How do I qualify to sit the Advanced Worksite Traffic Management (AWTM) course?You must hold or have held Main Roads WA Certificate of Accreditation in Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) and have at least 1 years’ experience in traffic management, road asset management, road safety, road design, road construction or road maintenance.

What is a USI?A USI is your individual education number for life. It also gives you an online record of your VET training undertaken in Australia.
